“Papi” Valdez, a member of the Plano Fire Department, passed away today, and the department is in mourning at the loss of one of their own.
Valdez, who was known as the “nicest guy” at the firehouse, leaves behind friends and coworkers who are heartbroken and who will often remember his generous nature and his dedication to helping others.
Valdez went away unexpectedly this morning, leaving the community of firefighters in Plano in a state of shock and sadness.
The department would like to extend its gratitude to the first responders from McKinney’s fire and police teams as well as the emergency staff from Medical City McKinney for their tireless efforts to save their fallen colleague.
Despite the fact that they were unsuccessful, their courageous efforts in the face of challenging conditions will not be forgotten.
While serving as a paramedic for the El Paso fire department, Albert Valdez gained knowledge in protecting the general public.
This experience was gained prior to his joining the Plano Fire Department. When it came to his work, he served with bravery and honor because he was motivated by the need to run toward danger if it meant the possibility of saving someone.
This illustrates Valdez’s servant’s heart, as he has devoted his entire career to rescuing and helping lives, whether it be by putting out fires or providing emergency medical care whenever it was needed.
Additionally, Brother Valdez valued the time he was able to spend with his family outside of his duties as a firefighter.
