Rickey is most known for his radio show, in addition to his phone call pranks where he disguises his voice while talking with someone on the other end,

Originating from Birmingham, Alabama, Rickey hosts the Rickey Smiley Morning Show in Atlanta, from its flagship, WHTA “Hot 107.9.” Previously, he was a columnist on the Fox-created organization, Dish Nation.

And in 2015, he began his television series, Rickey Smiley For Real, a production about his life. The last time we heard from Smiley was due to his conversation with rapper, Gucci Mane, who sat down with the host to discuss Eminem’s supposed fall from grace in the hip-hop community.

As it was previously reported, Gucci Mane questioned Eminem’s title as the “King Of Rap.” Gucci said that Eminem was never the “King Of Rap,” and nobody is listening to his records in their car anymore, jokingly adding that Mr. Marshall Mathers needed to change his name to earn distinguishment such as the “The King.”

In 2008, he signed a deal with Syndicated One, which subsequently distributed his show nationwide.
