On this week’s Figure Friday we take a look at the officially licensed Legends of Lucha Libre ReAction figures and M.U.S.C.L.E. figures from Super7!

These figures are brought to you by the Masked Republic, which is a corporate entity that owns Legends of Lucha Libre and is the only company outside of AAA and CMLL creating officially licensed Lucha Libre product, as well as the Legends of Lucha Libre brand itself, which is similar to a player’s association representing the icons, legends and superstars of Lucha Libre.

You can currently get these guys on Super7.com as they’ve already sold out on LuchaShop.com, or if you live in California you can get them at the Super7 retail stores in San Francisco! Otherwise if any of your local retailers carry Super7 action figures you can see if they can stock them, too!

That being said, let’s take a look at these awesome throwback-style action figures!

ReAction Packaging

The packaging on the ReAction figures is really nice. They’re very colorful, illustrated images of the Lucha Libre stars, which include:

  • Tinieblas Jr.
  • Blue Demon Jr.
  • Blue Demon Jr. (in suit)
  • Solar
  • Sola (in suit)

The back of the packaging is illustrated as well, displaying everyone in the set. It’s also in Spanish, which is pretty cool! The packaging is so nice I really didn’t want to open these to review for you guys!

The ReAction Figures

The figures are very colorful. They have very limited articulation and stand roughly 3.75″ tall. They’re based on old school type action figures, which explains the 14+ age recommendation on the box as these are geared towards adult collectors.

You can see quite a bit of detail on each of them, from the colorful designs on their masks to their outfits as a whole. The wrestling attire Blue Demon Jr. and Solar have a thin, flimsy, plastic cape to complete their entrance attire. It is not removable unless you were to cut it off, which I don’t recommend unless you buy duplicates and make an alternate version! For mini figures these are great, but I think they’re so nice mint in the box you should keep them that way!

The M.U.S.C.L.E. Figures Packaging

These guys are another awesome throwback to the original M.U.S.C.L.E. wrestling figures from way back when. Mattel recently made WWE versions of them that are a bit bigger, which you can see here.

Their packaging is quite colorful and there’s only two sets so far in Series 1. Each box has either Solar or Blue Demon Jr. on it to help you differentiate which box is which.

Series 1 contains:

  • Juventud Guerrera
  • Blue Demon Jr.
  • Tinieblas
  • Konnan
  • Solar
  • Super Astro

The M.U.S.C.L.E. Figures

These guys are very small, maybe an inch tall, and are made of a hard, rubbery material if you’ve never owned any before. They are also not colored as that’s the old school M.U.S.C.L.E. style. The detail on them is quite cool for such small figures as you can see in the gallery below. Not to mention these will go great with any other M.U.S.C.L.E. figures you may have.

As mentioned before you can currently get them on the Super7 website or at their retail stores in San Francisco. If you’d like to see them more up close check out my video review below otherwise the gallery shows you just as much!
