She made her first film appearance as Poongavanam (Amudhan’s college girlfriend) in the 2012 Tamil stereoscopic science fiction 3D film Ambuli.
In 2012, Sanam Shetty made her Malayalam film debut as Deepika in the romantic comedy-drama film Cinema Company.
