In 2013, he took home his first silver medal in the World Championships in the men’s four-man team with Alexander Lloyd, Spencer Turrin and Josh Dunkley-Smith.
In 2016 along with Josh Dunkley-Smith, Joshua Booth, and Alexander Hill, Lockwood was selected in the Australian Men’s Coxless four to compete at Rio 2016. They won their heat and semi-final and took the silver medal behind Great Britain in the final.
In 2012’s London Olympics, Lockwood won an Olympic silver medal at the Australian men’s foursome with Drew Ginn, James Chapman and Josh Dunkley-Smith. Ginn’s inclusion in that team has given it a lineage back to the highly successful Australian M4-teams from the 1990s who were referred to by the name of Oarsome Foursomes.
